Hi there!
So the new semester has begun, and it feels kind of nice to be back to routines, to see classmates again and to breathe in the fresh September morning air. If you’re totally new to the studying at university thing, you’re probably feeling a little overwhelmed right now. We get it. Even for us seniors it takes a couple of weeks to get back on track.
Just know that you’ll get the hang of things, and you’re not alone. Here are some tips to help you ease into the experience (and ace your courses).
Read the syllabus for each course – and remember the learning outcomes
Think of studying as a job – spend the same amount of time on your studies
Plan for the coming week – preferably do this every Sunday evening
Study together with classmates – quiz each other, reflect on what you’ve learned together
Ask the teachers for old exams – to see what kind of questions they might ask
Ask about books – do you need all of them? Ask for help to prioritize the reading
Remember your student discounts – check out Mecenat, Studentkortet and more
